We have established a separate division and dedicated team to cater for the international fuel bunkering sector. Our customers in this sector include super yachts, cruise liners, cargo vessels, international ferries and visiting international navy ships and navy submarines. Our team is equipped to deliver bunkering services to vessels anchored at Male’ port and possibly vessels in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the Maldives in a near future.

Spillages and leakages during bunkering operations are a primary source of oil pollution from ships and it has shown that many of the bunker overflows and spillages that do occur can be contributed to human error, hence our bunkering operations are carefully planned and executed, bunkering personnel involved in the bunkering operation on board have no other tasks and remain at their workstations.

Our procedures ensure the risks associated with the operation are assessed and that controls are in place to mitigate these risks. The procedures include contingency arrangements in the event of a spill such as prior to commencing operation, pre-loading checks and containment arrangements such as oil booms are in place and clean-up equipments such as oil dispersant chemicals are on hand if needed.
